EPISODE 148 - Lost And Found

Previously on DALLAS....

------------After leaving Richard for dead on a country road, Jeremy Lord returned to the Wentworth mansion to confront Katherine about the triplets.  A struggle over a gun ensued, and a shot was fired.  Jeremy overpowered Katherine, but hearing Jimmy yell from the basement, he turned his back, and Katherine knocked him unconscious.

-------------Justin was taken to Braddock Medical Center, suffering from a concussion.

-------------After Ann was found, Bobby rushed to her side and kept vigil.

-------------Austin was found by a teenage boy on a farm near Texarkana, and was taken back to the boy's home, where he was cared for by the boy's sister.  Later, this brother and sister proved to have some dark secret they are hiding.

-------------Christopher and Courtney flew to Houston to be at Phyllis's side after Sly called and told them about Phyllis's condition.

-------------Richard was taken to the hospital, but later left and went back to Katherine's home, where she had Jeremy Lord tied up.  Richard told Katherine to take Katelyn and leave......that HE would take care of Jeremy himself.

-------------After the teenage Josh told Austin that he didn't pull him from the plane before it exploded, Austin came to the shocking realization that Brian had survived the crash and was on the loose!

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.....morning

"Now Miz Ewing, you sure you don't remember anything else?"  Asks a Dallas sheriff's deputy, questioning Ann in her hospital room about what Katherine had done to her.  Bobby and Emma look on.

"No.  Nothin' else.  Like I told you, I went to Katherine's house just as soon as I realized that her son was the person responsible for that explosion at Richard Channing's house a year ago that killed my brother.  I was gonna call the police, but when I started to leave, I made the mistake of turnin' my back on Katherine for just a second, and she hit me.  I went out like a light.  Next thing I knew, I woke up in my car at the bottom of that ravine.  I couldn't move. Then I passed out again and woke up here in the hospital last night."

"Miz Ewing, what exactly tipped you off to the fact that this Brian Manning is the son of Katherine Wentworth?"  The deputy asks in a thick Texas accent.

"I told her,"  says Emma.

"And you are Miz Ewing's daughter?"

"Yes, I am.  I'm also Katherine Wentworth's niece.  I live at Falcon Crest, in the Tuscany Valley, California.  Falcon Crest is owned by Katherine's husband, Richard Channing."

"And how exactly did you learn of Miz Wentworth's son's involvement in that explosion?"  The deputy asks.

Emma looks at Ann for a second, then returns her gaze to the deputy.  "I found a photo in Katherine's bedroom at Falcon Crest.  A photo of two babies.  Babies whose existence Katherine had kept from everyone, including her husband Richard, and the babies' father, Jeremy Lord.  Katherine admitted to me that she had given birth to triplets, but she had given two of the babies away, Brian being one of them.  As soon as Richard found out, he came here to Dallas to confront Katherine."

"Emma and I talked last night,"  Ann says.  "And she told about Katherine's other two children.  So I went to confront her."

"How did you come to the conclusion that Brian Manning was Katherine Wentworth's son?"  The deputy asks.

"I didn't, until I confronted her,"  replies Ann.

"Why did you go to confront Miz Wentworth?"

"For quite some time, we've been tryin' to find some kind of evidence that Katherine was involved in the murder of a man named Naldo Marchetta, many years ago.  When I learned from Emma that Katherine had kept this secret about these other two children she'd given birth to, I thought maybe I could use this in some way.  So, I went to the Wentworth mansion to confront her about her.  I learned that Katherine's other son's name was Brian, and he's 23, the same age as the man the police have been lookin' for in connection with the bombin' of Richard Channing's home last year.  As soon as I figured that out, I started to leave."

"And that's when Katherine Wentworth hitcha?"  The deputy asks.

"Yes.  It was."

"Thank ya, Miz Ewing, I think that'll be all for now.  If we have any further questions, we'll be in touch."

"Thank you,"  Ann says, fighting back tears.

"Honey, I'll be right back,"  Bobby says.  "I'm gonna walk Deputy Martin out."  Ann nods, and Bobby walks out of the room with the deputy.  "I want this woman found, Deputy Martin, and soon," he says.

"We're gonna do our best, Mr. Ewing."

"I want you to do more than your BEST.  Katherine Wentworth tried to kill me a couple times more than thirty years ago, and now she's tried to kill my wife.  She's a very dangerous and disturbed woman, and I knew all along that she'd eventually show that she hadn't changed at all.  I want both her AND that murdering son of her caught and punished.  In the meantime, I'm gonna get a security detail to protect my family round the clock until Katherine and her son are found."

"I'll be in touch, Mr. Ewing,"  the deputy says, then turns and walks away.

Meanwhile, in Ann's room, Emma walks over to her mother's bedside.  "It's all going to come out now, isn't it?"  Emma asks in tears.  "The secret about Logan.  Everyone, including Kevin and Bobby, are gonna find out that Lucas is the father of my baby and not Kevin."

"Not if we can help it,"  Ann says.

"How can we stop it?  When they find Katherine, she's gonna tell.  She's gonna blow us out of the water."

"No.  Emma, listen to me.  Katherine Wentworth is a murderer and now she's a fugitive again.  It'd be her word against ours.  And who do you think they'll believe?"

"Damn her,"  Emma says angrily.  "I should've killed Katherine myself."

As mother and daughter talk, Bobby stands in the hallway, looking at them through the window, wondering if Ann and Emma had told the entire truth.  Bobby had a feeling they were hiding something.

Southfork....

John Ross, Krystina, Alex, Lucy, Lucas, Heather, and Michael are seated at the patio breakfast table that morning having breakfast.

"I still can't believe it,"  Lucy says.  "Katherine Wentworth tried to kill Ann?"

"I can't say I'm surprised,"  John Ross says.  "That lady was always nuts."

"But why would she hurt Aunt Ann?"  Alex asks.

"For the same reason she framed your grandmother for the murder of Naldo Marchetta,"  replies Lucas.  "From what Mom says, Katherine has always been obsessed with my father."

"Boy, do I remember that very well,"  says Lucy.  "When Bobby and Pam were separated, Katherine forged this letter to Bobby from Pam, making Bobby believe that Pam wanted a divorce.  That broke up their marriage.  I guess Katherine thought that she could move in on Bobby after he and Pam were divorced, but she didn't count on Jenna coming back into the picture.  Katherine eventually became so twisted that she tried to kill Bobby.  Gunned him down at Ewing Oil, right in J.R.'s office.  Then again at the hospital she tried to inject him with poison."

"Geez, how come she never went to prison?"  Alex asks.

"She was arrested,"  John Ross says.  "She jumped bail and disappeared."

"Or so everyone thought,"  Lucy continues.  "But, if Bobby's right, Katherine was still pulling the strings behind the scenes, trying to destroy Bobby and Jenna after they became engaged."

"It all makes a lot of sense,"  Lucas says.  "To get my Mom out of Dad's life, Katherine has Marchetta come back, kidnap Mom and Charlie, then Katherine has him murdered, and frames Mom for it."

"This whole thing gives me the creeps just thinkin' about it,"  Heather says.

"Yeah, me, too,"  agrees Krystina.  "And Peter Love being on the loose, too."

"John Ross have you spoken to Sue Ellen this morning?"  Lucy asks.

"Nah, not since last night.  Chances are Peter Love is a long way from Dallas by now."

Lucy shakes her head.  "Maybe J.R. was right when he said this family seems to attract a lot of weirdos and freaks."

A car drives up to the house and comes to a stop in the parking area.  Jill gets out and walks over to the rest of the family on the patio.  "Morning," she says.

"Hello, Jill,"  Krystina says.

"Have some breakfast?"  John Ross asks.

"No, thanks, I already ate.  I was just on my way to the hospital in Braddock to visit Justin, and I thought I'd stop by here first."

"If you're going to the hospital, mind if I ride along?"  Alex asks.

"No, not at all.

"Jill, I'm glad you dropped by,"  John Ross says, standing to his feet.  "Can I have a word with you?"

"Sure, John Ross,"  Jill says.  She follows her brother over to the pool.

"You hadn't by any chance heard anything from Jimmy, have you?"  John Ross asks.

"No, I haven't, not in quite some time now.  And Jay is getting pretty worried, especially since Jimmy was out on bail."

"Do you really believe that Jimmy pushed Justin off that cliff?" John Ross asks.

"I have no idea,"  Jill replies awkwardly.  "I wasn't there."

"Well, there's somethin' else I need to talk to you about.  Jill, I  know that our little brother is closer to you than he is to anybody else in this fam'ly since he and Jimmy had their little fallin' out, so, if Justin would confide in anyone, it'd be you."

"John Ross, what's this about?"

"Maybe you can talk some sense into Justin.  Get him to realize that he's gettin' in way over his head with Pamela McKay."

"Oh, so THAT'S what this is all about,"  Jill says.  "You want me to try and convince Justin to stop seeing Pamela."

"That's right.  If he'll listen to anybody, it'll be you.  He sure as hell won't listen to me."

"John Ross, I don't like Justin seeing Pamela anymore than you do, but I'm not going to interfere by trying to convince him to dump her."

"She's gonna end up hurtin' him,"  John Ross says.

"Justin is a grown man, John Ross.  He can take care of himself.  Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be going."  Jill smiles at her brother, then walks back over to the others.  "Alex, you ready?"

"Yeah, all set,"  Alex replies, standing.  He follows Jill to her car and the two get in, then leave.

C.J. Ewing's apartment....

C.J. comes down the stairs of his apartment to answer his ringing doorbell.  He opens his door and Catlin walks in.  "Morning,"  Catlin says.

"Dad, good morning.  What brings you over?"  C.J. asks, closing the door.

"I came by to see if you're alright."

"Dad, I'm fine.  REALLY,"  C.J. says.  "You don't have to keep checking up on me every hour."

"I can't help it if I'm worried about you, with Peter Love on the loose.  I'd still feel a whole lot better if you'd come and stay with us at Sue Ellen's house."

"No need for that.  This apartment building has great security.  Besides, why on earth would Peter Love come after me in the first place?"

"Peter killed your mother, C.J.,"  says Catlin.  "And he's always hated me and resented the fact that you're my son and not his.  In his present state of mind, there's no telling what he might do."

"Don't worry, I'll be careful.  How's Sue Ellen?"

"She's a bundle of nerves, and understandably so.  Your Aunt Blaine is with her now, and I have a security guard keeping an eye on her."

"Well, that's good,"  says C.J.  "Sounds like you're doing everything you can to keep her safe."

"I am.  Are you sure you won't change your mind and come out to the house and stay?"  Catlin asks.  "It'd ease my mind a great deal."

"Dad, I........."  C.J. stops talking and looks at his father for a moment.  "Alright, look, if it'll make you feel any better, I'll consider it."

Catlin smiles.  "That's wonderful.  Well, I have a few errands to run, and then I'm heading straight back to the house.  I just wanted to stop by and check in with you.  I don't like leaving Sue Ellen for very long.  But I really hope you take me up on the offer.  Sue Ellen and I both do."

"Like I said, I'll consider it."

"Guess I'll have to settle for that.  I'll talk to you later, son."

"Bye, Dad,"  C.J. says as his father leaves.

Braddock Medical Center....

Justin is putting his things into a plastic bag in his hospital room when a knock sounds at his door.  "Come in," he says.

Jill and Alex walk in.  "Hey, little brother,"  Jill says.

"You're getting ready to leave?"  Alex asks.

"Sure am.  The doctor came in this mornin' and said I was good to go home.  But, I do have to take it easy for a while, and he duttin' want me bein' by myself for a couple days."

"Well, looks like we got here just in time,"  Jill says.  "Alex and I can give you a ride home."

"Thanks, but, Pamela's comin' to get me.  I'm actually gonna be goin' back to her place in Dallas to recuperate."

"I see,"  Jill says, not sounding too pleased.

Justin looks at her.  "Now what was that all about?"

"What was WHAT all about?"  Jill asks.

"The way you said 'I see.'  Jill, I know ya don't like Pamela.  But she's a part of my life now, and like I told John Ross, y'all are just gonna have to get use to that."

"I'll try.  But, Pamela and I do have a rather ugly history, and it's not easy for me to see her dating my younger brother."

"Whatever issues and problems you two had is in the past.  Hey, Alex, while I'm at Pamela's, I'm gonna need you to do me a favor and keep an eye on my ranch for me.  Just go over every day, and check on things, and feed the livestock for me?"

"You got it,"  Alex says.

"Great, thanks,"  Justin says as Pamela walks into the room.  She is surprised to see Jill and Alex.

"Hello, Pamela,"  Jill says.

"Jill,"  Pamela greets in a less than friendly tone.  "Well, I see you're almost ready."

"Yeah, I didn't have a whole lot with me anyway,"  says Justin.

"Has the nurse brought your dismissal paper?"

"Yeah just a few minutes ago, so I'm all set."

"Pamela, Alex, would the two of you mind if I had a word with Justin in private before we leave?"  Jill asks.

Pamela looks at Justin.  "Sure.  I guess we can go and let the nurse know you're ready to leave so she can bring a chair."

"This will only take a minute,"  Jill says.  Pamela and Alex walk out of the room.

"Sis, if you're gonna lecture me about Pamela, you can just save your breath,"  Justin says.

"No, it's not about Pamela.  It's about Jimmy."

"I don't wanna talk about Jimmy Beaumont."

"He's disappeared, Justin,"  Jill says.

Justin looks at her.  "What do you mean, he's disappeared?"

"He's gone.  Apparently, he jumped bail.  His landlord said that Jimmy hasn't paid this month's rent, and most of his things are gone from his apartment.  All his clothes."

Justin smiles and shakes his head.  "So the damned fool skipped town, huh?"

"Yes.  Maybe he was terrified at the thought of going to prison for something he didn't do.  And Justin, you and I both know that Jimmy did not push you off that cliff.  How long are you gonna keep punishing him?"

"He was my best friend, Jill.  Not only that, he was blood fam'ly.  He betrayed me and slept with my wife."

"I know, and that was horrible.  But Justin, haven't you had your revenge?  You had him arrested.  Wrecked his life.  And now, he felt so trapped that he's gone on the run."

"I did exactly what our father would've done,"  says Justin.

"But is that who you really wanna be like?  J.R. Ewing?  What do you think Cally would say if she knew?"

Justin turns his back to Jill.  "So what do you want me to do?  Tell everyone I lied?"

"You don't have to do that.  Justin, that fall last year left you unconscious and in critical condition.  For months you couldn't even remember what had happened.  You could just say that your memory was all mixed up, but now you remember what really happened. That Jimmy didn't push you and you just fell."

Justin turns to her.  "And why should I, Jill?  Why should I do that after what he did to me?"

"Because of what you said earlier.  Jimmy is blood family.  I'm not saying that you have to ever be best friends with him again.  But for the sake of the family, please........stop this."

Justin picks up his bag from his bed.  "Well, I guess we'd best go see what's keepin' Pamela and that nurse who's supposed to come and wheel me down," he says, as if ignoring everything Jill had said to him.  "I'm ready to get the hell outta here."  He flashes Jill a quick smile, then walks past her and out of the room, leaving Jill with a worried look on her face.

The Wentworth mansion....the basement...

Meanwhile, in the Wentworth basement, Jimmy is working frantically, trying to pick the lock of the cage he is still held captive in, using any item that he can find.  After working at it for what seemed like an eternity using a pen, he finally gives up.  He looks around the cage, then around the rest of the basement, looking for anything he might be able to use.  His stomach begins to growl from hunger, since he hasn't eaten in the last 24 hours.  No one had been down to see him since the previous day, and he had heard no sounds from upstairs.  Katherine had told him that they were leaving, and he now knew she had been telling the truth.  Katherine and Katelyn had left him here in this dungeon with no food, no water, no way of escape, and no hope.  Now he can only wait.  Sit and wait for death to come and pray that it will come fast since he has no hope of anyone finding him.  Jimmy goes to his bed and takes a seat.  He begins to cry.  "Dear God," he says in tears.  "Why?  Why is this happening to me?  I know I've done some terrible things.  I betrayed my best friend.  But am I getting what I deserve?  God, please help me."  Jimmy buries his head in his hands and continues to cry.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.....afternoon....

Bobby walks into Ann's hospital room that afternoon.  Finding his wife apparently asleep, he smiles at her, then turns and starts to leave.  "Bobby?"  He hears her call to him.

He walks over to her bedside.  "Honey, I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to wake ya."

"You didn't.  I wasn't asleep.  Just restin'.  I finally convinced Emma to go and get some rest.  I hope you don't mind, but I told her she could use the cottage at Southfork."

"Of course not,"  Bobby says.  "Honey, there's somethin' I'd like to talk with you about."

"Sure, Bobby.  What is it?"

"Annie, why did you go to confront Katherine about her son and her daughter?  Especially when you had no idea at first that Brian Manning was Katherine's son?"

"Bobby, I don't know,"  Ann replies.  "I know it was really a stupid thing to do."

"Yes, it was,"  Bobby says.  "Especially knowing how dangerous and unpredictable Katherine is."

"Yes.  But all these months, we've been tryin' to come up with some way of gettin' Katherine out of all our lives,"  says Ann.  "And I wanted her far away from Falcon Crest and Emma.  I thought somehow, I could use this information about her children against her, especially knowin' that she had kept Brian and Katelyn's existence a secret from everyone, includin' their own father.  Bobby, I want Katherine caught.  I want that son of hers caught.  That bastard who murdered my brother and nearly killed all of us."

"So do I, honey, and I can promise you, they will be caught and punished.  Annie, what about the girl?  Katherine's daughter?  Did Katherine tell you anything about her?"

"No.  But......."  Ann pauses and thinks for a moment.

"But what?"  Bobby asks.

"I've been gettin' these flashes in my mind.  I'm not sure if they're memories, or if I was dreamin'."

"Flashes of what?"

"A young, dark haired woman who was with Katherine.  I keep gettin' these images of her in my head."

"Honey, could this have been Katherine's daughter?"  Bobby asks.

"I don't know.  I don't even know if the images are real, or if it's my mind playin' tricks on me."

"Well, honey, you get some rest,"  Bobby says.  "The doctor says that if you continue to improve, I can take you home in a couple days."

"Good.  I can't wait to get home to Southfork."

Bobby smiles, then leans down and kisses his wife.  "I'm gonna go out to the ranch for a while.  You get some sleep and I'll be back in a little while."

"Okay, Bobby,"  Ann says with a slight nod.  Bobby kisses her again, this time on the forehead, then leaves.  After he's gone, Ann turns her head and looks out the window, worried that by confronting Katherine, she had put her and Emma's secret of Logan's paternity in danger.

The Krebbs Ranch.....late afternoon

Conner and Dylan are working on a fence on the Krebbs ranch that afternoon.  For a long time, the brothers have been working in silence.  Conner looks over at Dylan, whose hands have grown shaky.  Dylan looks restless, as if he wants out of his own skin.

"You okay over there?"  Conner finally asks.

"I'm fine,"  Dylan replies in an irritable tone.

"Sure don't look fine to me, little brother,"  Conner says.  "Craving a drink, aren't you?"

"I said I was FINE!"

"Dylan, this has gotta stop."

"Can't stop now,"  Dylan says.  "We're not finished with the fence yet."

"You know damned well what I'm talking about.  Your drinking, man.  It's gotta stop.  I came home yesterday and I found you passed out on your bed."

"I was tired and I wasn't feeling well."

"There was an empty vodka bottle on the floor, Dylan, so I know you'd tied one on."

Dylan looks at his brother for a few seconds.  "Okay, I was feeling kinda down, so I had a little vodka."

"You had more than a little vodka, man,"  says Conner. "You finished off the whole bottle."

"No, I didn't.  I've had that bottle for a couple weeks."

"Stop lyin' to me, Dylan!"

"Look, man, yeah, I had some vodka yesterday.  I drink occasionally to steady my nerves, but that doesn't make me an alcoholic, if that's what you're saying."

"Dylan, you've got a problem,"  Conner says, walking over to him.  "You know it, I know it, and Donna knows it."

"What?"  Dylan asks.  "Donna?  You told Donna about this?"

"I had no choice.  She came home yesterday when you were passed out drunk, and she guessed that you'd been drinking.  She asked me how long it'd been going on, and I damned sure wasn't gonna lie for you anymore."

"Nice going,"  Dylan says.  "You told Donna about my drinking, and now she and Ray are probably gonna kick me out of here."

"Ray and Donna are NOT gonna kick us out."

"I didn't say US.  I said ME.  The one who's always screwing up and who moved in here straight from a mental hospital."

"Dylan, Ray and Donna care about you,"  says Conner.  "We ALL care, and we only wanna help you."

"Yeah?  Well I don't NEED your help,"  Dylan angrily says, then turns and walks away.

"Dylan!!"  Conner calls after his brother.

"Just leave me alone!"  Dylan yells back and keeps walking as Conner shakes his head in frustration.

The Krebbs home....

Ray walks in the front door of the Krebbs home late that afternoon.  Meanwhile, Donna is upstairs in their bedroom putting some clothes away when she hears the sound of the front door closing.  "Donna?"  Ray calls out.  "Anybody home?"

"Up here, Ray,"  Donna replies.

A few seconds later, Ray comes up the stairs and walks into the bedroom, giving his wife a kiss.  "You're a sight for sore eyes," he tells her.

"I could say the same about you.  So how'd it go in Galveston?  Did you and the boys look over that piece of property?"

"Yeah, we sure did, and we made an offer with the owner,"  Ray says.  "Donna, it's a beautiful place, just gorgeous.  You shoulda seen the look on Pat's face when we were lookin' at it.  He was real excited."

"I'm guessing he wasn't the only one,"  Donna says.

Ray lets out a laugh. "No.  I admit, I'm excited about it, too.  We were thinkin' about buildin' a hotel or a restaurant on the property.  It has an ocean view that's just breathtakin'."

"Well, that's nice,"  Donna says, a lack of enthusiasm in her voice as she returns to her chore of putting away the laundry.

The smile fades from Ray's face.  "Donna, somethin' wrong?"

"No, nothing's wrong.  I suppose you're gonna make Heath a partner in this little venture?"

"Yeah I sure am, and I couldn't be happier or more excited about it," Ray says.  "Now I know how Jock felt when he brought me in on those business deals with Pat all those years ago.  It's kinda like history repeatin' itself."

"Lord, I sure hope not,"  Donna says without thinking.

"Now what's that supposed to mean?"  Ray asks.

Donna looks at him.  "I just don't want you to get all caught up in and consumed by this.  And I really do hope you take things slow with Heath Allen."

"Donna, come on.  I wish you'd get off Heath's back.  He's my son.  The DNA test proved that."

"I know he's your son, Ray, but he's also a man we know virtually nothing about.  Does he have a criminal record?  Has he ever been in prison?  Can we trust him?"

"I trust him, Donna.  Heath is my son.  My own flesh and blood and I really resent the hell out of you treatin' him like he's some black sheep out to rob me blind.  I'm just glad Miss Ellie didn't treat me the way you're treatin' Heath when she found out Jock was my father. Now I've had a long couple days, and I'm tired.  All I wanna do is get a hot shower, get a good meal, and turn in early tonight, and I don't wanna hear anymore talk against Heath."

"Alright, FINE,"  says an irritated Donna.  "But there are a couple things I need to tell you."

"If it's about my son, I don't wanna hear it."

"No, it's not.  Lucy called this morning.  Ann is in the hospital."

"The hospital?"  Ray asks.  "What happened?"

"She was in a car crash the other night.  I already called and talked to Bobby.  She has a concussion, but other than that, she'll be okay.  But, her accident really wasn't an accident."

"What do you mean?"

"Katherine Wentworth is back in Dallas,"  Donna replies.  "And she tried to kill Ann."

"Katherine?"  Asks a stunned Ray.  "I thought she was livin' in California and married to that Richard Channing guy."

"I don't know all the details, but, apparently, Katherine had been keeping a deep, dark secret.  Actually, TWO deep, dark secrets.  It seems that when her son Austin was born, Katherine really gave birth to triplets, and she gave the other two babies away when they were born.  One of those other two babies was another boy, and his name is Brian Manning.  He was the one who blew up Richard Channing's house in California a year ago and killed Ann's brother Mark.  Ann somehow figured that out and confronted Katherine with it."

"And Katherine tried to kill her,"  Ray says.  "My God.  Well, look, I'm gonna take a shower, and then go see how Ann's doin'.  You wanna come?"

"Yes.  I'll just finish putting these clothes away while you're in the shower."

Ray nods, then starts into the bedroom.

"Ray?"  Donna calls to him.

He stops in the doorway and looks at her.  "Yeah?"

Donna hesitates for a moment.  "Nothing.  It'll keep," she says, deciding to wait until a better time to tell Ray about Dylan's drinking.  Ray goes into the bathroom and closes the door.

Sue Ellen's home....that night

Sue Ellen walks through her living room and into the foyer of her home that night to answer her ringing doorbell. She opens the door to find John Ross there, along with Blaine and Sandy Cory.

"Come in," she tells them, and the group enters the house.

"How ya doin', Mama?"  John Ross asks, kissing his mother on the cheek.

"I'm fine, just a bit on edge."

"Well, good evening,"  Catlin says, coming down the stairs.  "You all come here together?"

"No, Sandy and I ran into John Ross outside,"  Blaine replies.

Catlin kisses his sister on the cheek.  "It's good to see you.  Let's go sit down and talk."

John Ross and Sue Ellen look on as Catlin, Blaine, and Sandy go into the living room.  "Sure you're alright?"  John Ross asks his mother.

"Well, if you want the truth, I'm more than just a little on edge," Sue Ellen says.  "I'm a bundle of nerves knowing that Peter Love is out there on the loose somewhere, and knowing that Katherine Wentworth is also loose, knowing what she did to Ann."

"Well, you got a security guard right outside the house, and I'm gonna talk to Bum, see if he can help. If anybody can find someone who duttin' wanna be found, it's Bum."

"You're right about that.  So, how are you?"  Sue Ellen asks.

"Just fine."

"I really feel terrible leaving you and Krystina and Jill to run Ewing Oil while Bobby, Christopher, and I are away from the office dealing with our own personal crises."

"Don't you worry about Ewing Oil," says John Ross.

"I'm just sorry that I haven't been around the office much at all lately."

"Well, you HAVE had a lotta things to deal with, such as bein' on trial for a murder you didn't commit, thanks to Catlin Ewing."

"John Ross, please,"  Sue Ellen says.  "Don't start in on Catlin again.  None of what happened was his fault.  It was Peter Love."

"And who was Love tryin' to get revenge against?"  John Ross asks.  "It was Catlin and Brittany."

"John Ross....."

"Alright, alright.  I won't say another word.  You call me if you need anything."

Sue Ellen smiles.  "Thank you, I will."

"Well, I will talk to you later."

"I'm glad you stopped by,"  Sue Ellen says, kissing her son.  "I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Sure,"  John Ross says.  As he opens the door to leave, he and Sue Ellen are surprised to see Donna Love at the door.

"Donna,"  Sue Ellen says.

"Hello,"  Donna says.  "May I come in?"

"Yes, of course.  Donna Love, my son, John Ross."

"Hello,"  Donna says.

"You're Peter Love's sister?"  John Ross asks.

"Yes, I am."

"I'm surprised you have the nerve to show your face around here, after all the hell that brother of yours has put my mother through."

"John Ross, don't,"  Sue Ellen says.  John Ross looks at his mother, and at Donna, then leaves without saying another word.  Sue Ellen closes the door behind him and turns to Donna.  "I'm very sorry about my son being so rude."

"No, it's fine."

Catlin walks into the foyer.  "Donna," he says.

"Good evening, Catlin."

"I'm very surprised to see you.  I thought you'd gone back to Bay City."

"We had,"  says Donna.  "But as soon as we heard that Peter had escaped, Marley, Bridget and I took the first flight we could get back to Dallas.  I wanted to be here when my brother is found."

"Provided Peter is even still in Dallas,"  Sue Ellen says.

"So what can we do for you, Donna?"  Catlin asks.

"I wanted to let you both know how sorry I am, for everything my brother has put you through,"  Donna replies.  "And if there is anything I can do to help, then I will."

"Well, thank you, but, unless you can find out where Peter is, or somehow convince him to turn himself in, there's really nothing you can do,"  says Catlin.

"Well, the offer stands,"  Donna says.

"Donna, IF Peter does get in touch with you, I hope that this time, you'll contact the police,"  Catlin says.

"I will.  Goodnight,"  Donna says, then leaves.

Sue Ellen sighs as she closes the door behind Donna.  After a brief hesitation, she looks at Catlin.  "Will this nightmare ever be over?"

Catlin puts his arms around her.  "It will be.  Soon.  Peter can't stay on the run forever.  Eventually he'll slip up and be caught."

Southfork....the next morning....

As Heather watches, Lucas and Michael jump into the pool at Southfork the next morning and race across the entire length of the pool.

"Come on, Michael!"  Heather yells, cheering for her son.   Michael beats Lucas in the race by a slight hair.  "Hey, there ya go!" She says to the boy.

"Wow, buddy, you been practicin' behind my back?"  Lucas asks his son.

"Ah, you let me win," Michael says.

"I did NOT,"  says Lucas.  "I wouldn't do that."

"Suuuure, Dad."

Heather laughs.  "Hey, come on," she says.  "Time to get out and dry off.  It'll be time for breakfast real soon."

"Come on, Mom, can't I just stay in for a while?"

"You heard your mother,"  says Lucas.  "You'll have the whole rest of the day to swim.  That's the best thing about being out of school for the summer, right?"

"Right,"  Michael says, getting out of the pool.  "Can I go riding with you later?"

"You bet,"  Lucas replies.

"There's your towel over there,"  Heather tells the boy.  Michael walks over and picks up a towel draped over a chair and begins drying himself off.

As Lucas climbs out of the pool, he looks past Heather and sees Emma standing by the fence watching them.  He picks up his own towel.

"Come on, let's get you in and changed,"  Heather says.  "Lucas, you comin'?"

"Umm, no, you two go on in.  I'll be in in a minute.  I wanna dry off first."

"Okay,"  replies Heather, who doesn't see Emma.  Heather wraps Michael's towel around his shoulders and walks her son into the house.

After his wife and son are gone, Lucas looks back over at Emma.  When he starts walking toward her, she turns and heads back toward the cottage.

"Emma, wait!"  He calls to her.

She stops and turns back to him.  "Hello, Lucas."

"Hi.  I didn't realize you were here.  I figured you'd come to visit Ann, but, I didn't know you were at Southfork."

"Yeah, Bobby said I could stay at the cottage,"  Emma says.

"How are you?"  Lucas asks.

"I'm just great.  And it looks like you are, too.  I was watching you with your wife and son.  I can tell that you're a wonderful father, Lucas, and your little boy is lucky to have you."

Lucas smiles.  "Thank you, but, I'm the lucky one.  I never knew what it was like to love someone so much, or so unconditionally, until Heather and Michael came into my life.  Finding out he was my son, and being a father to him has been like a life saver for me.  It's helped me realize what's really important in life."

"That's nice, Lucas.  I'm glad that you're happy."

"And what about you?  So, you have a little boy of your own now, huh?"

"Yeah,"  Emma replies, Lucas's question making her uncomfortable.  "Logan Chase."

"That's great.  I'm happy for you, Emma.  You bring the baby with you?"

"No, he's at Falcon Crest in California with his father."

"I see.  Well, Emma, it was really nice seeing you,"  Lucas says.

"It's nice seeing you too, Lucas."

"You take care of yourself and that little boy of yours."

"I will,"  Emma says.  Lucas turns and starts back toward the house.  "Lucas?"  Emma calls to him.

He turns back and looks at her.  "Yeah?"

"After everything that happened between us..........I'm really glad that you and I can be friendly toward each other now."

"So am I, Emma,"  says Lucas.  "They say everything happens for a reason, and, if our relationship hadn't ended the way it did between us, I probably wouldn't have found my way to Heather and my son, and you wouldn't have your little boy with Kevin Channing.  I'll see you around, Emma."  Lucas smiles at her, then turns and goes toward the house.

Emma fights back tears as she watches him go.  Seeing Lucas with his son Michael made her wonder what he would have been like with their own son, had they stayed together, and made her regret keeping the secret of Logan's paternity from him.  But at the same time, Emma knows she can never let Lucas or Kevin find out that Lucas is the baby's biological father, for everyone's sake.

A farmhouse near Texarkana....

Austin is sitting up in bed at the farmhouse near Texarkana, Texas that morning, a breakfast tray in front of him.  Austin is fiddling with his food using his fork, not really hungry.  All he can think of is how he can get out of here, and he is worried, knowing that Brian had escaped the plane crash and is out there on the loose somewhere.  Unable to finish his breakfast of eggs, bacon, and grits, Austin pushes his tray aside.  As he is about to get out of bed, the bedroom door opens and Kasey walks in.

"Didn't eat much of your breakfast," the girl says.

"Sorry.  Just not hungry,"  Austin says, trying to get out of bed, flinching with pain from his ribs.

"Hey, come on.  Get back in bed.  Or do you have to go to the bathroom?"

"No.  I just wanna get up."

"Ya need your rest,"  Kasey says.  "Come on, lay back down."

Austin looks at the girl.  "Kasey, I need to get out of here.  Or at least use a phone."

"What for?"

"Look, how can I get you to understand.  There's a guy out there.  He's dangerous.  He's a killer, and he's running around out there loose somewhere."

"If there really was somebody else in that plane with you and he got out, he's prob'ly long gone by now,"  Kasey says.  "Austin, just try to relax, alright?"

"Kasey, PLEASE just let me use a phone so I can call my Mom and let her know that I'm alive."

"I'm sorry, Austin, I just can't do that,"  says Kasey.

"God, why NOT?"  Austin says, sighing in frustration.

"Joshua wouldn't like it."

"Kasey, how old are you?"

"16.  17 next month."

"And what about Josh?  How old is he?"  Austin asks.

"Goin' on 18.  He's 11 months older'n me."

"Where are your parents?"

"Aint got no parents.  They died."

"So, you and your brother live here, all alone?"

"No, there's Corey."

"Corey?"  Austin asks.

"Our little brother.  He's 12.  But me and Josh, we take real good care 'o him.  Josh takes real good care of both of us."

"Kasey, I still don't understand why you or your brother won't let me just use a phone to call my family, or why you didn't get me to a hospital when you found me after the crash.  And what about Matthew, my pilot?"

"Joshua buried him, out in the field,"  Kasey says.

"Oh my God.  Kasey, Matthew had a wife and kids.  His body should've been sent back to them for burial.  They have a right to know that he's dead."

"Austin, please, just rest up."

"Kasey, I......"  Austin stops mid-sentence when Josh walks into the room.

"Kasey, I was wonderin' what was keepin' you,"  Josh says.  "I thought you came in to get his tray."

"Sorry, we just got to talkin'."

"Talkin' 'bout what?"  Josh asks.

"Kasey was telling me that your parents are dead,"  says Austin.  "I'm sorry about that.  But, all I need is to just use a phone to call my family and let them know that I'm alive, and that the man who kidnapped me is alive and has escaped.  And what about Matthew?  Kasey said you buried out in your field somewhere.  Josh, that man has a wife and kids.  They have a right to know that he's been killed!"

"Kasey, you take his tray and go on out,"  Josh tells his sister.

"Joshua......"

"Just do as I say, girl."

Kasey picks up Austin's breakfast tray, then reluctantly walks out of the room.

"Why are you always ordering her around like that?"  Austin asks.

"Cause she's my sister.  I'm her guardian and she has to do as I say.  Now, you're really startin' to get on my nerves."

"I'm getting on YOUR nerves?  Are you kidding me?"  Asks an angry Austin.  "I was injured in a plane crash on your farm.  My pilot was killed, but instead of getting me to a hospital and making sure that Matthew's body was sent back to his family, you lock me in this room, refusing to even use a phone to call my family, and you bury Matthew out in some field, but I'm getting on YOUR nerves?"

"Looky here, Austin,"  Josh says.  "I don't like this any better'n you do.  But it is what it is.  For right now, you're gone hafta stay here with us for a while.  And as long as you don't cause no trouble, you'll be treated as our guest.  My sister'll cook for you, and you'll be treated real good."

"And if I don't agree to that?"  Austin asks.

"Then you won't be treated as a welcome guest anymore, but as a troublemaker.  Now I can tell my sister likes you.  So don't you go usin' that to try and make her let you use a phone, or to let you go.  Because if you do, that's gone make me real mad."

"Why?  Just tell me why you're doing this,"  Austin says.

"We got our reasons.  Reasons that don't concern you.   You just remember what I said.  Do like you're supposed to do, and we'll get along real good.  Otherwise, your stay here is gone be a livin' hell for you."  Without saying another word, Josh walks out of the room, closing and locking the door behind him, leaving Austin to wonder what kind of people he's stumbled upon.

A refinery in Texas City.....later....

Meanwhile, in Texas City that morning under cloudy skies and periodic light rain, Cliff and Brad are walking around looking at a refinery.

"So what do you think, Cliff?"  Brad asks.

Cliff looks around.  "What do I think?  What do I think about what?  It.....it's a nice refinery.  One of the biggest and the best in the state.  So, what are we doing here?"

"I wanted you to take a look at the refinery with me."

"Oh?  Why?"  Cliff asks.

"Because I've decided to buy it,"  Brad replies.

"What, wait,"  Cliff says.  "You're.......you're BUYING this refinery?"

"Well, I've made an offer on it."

"But, can Stone Oil afford something like this?"

"Not alone, we can't,"  says Brad.  "That's where YOU come in."

"Me?"

"Yes.  Together, you and I can afford to buy this refinery and make Stone-Barnes Oil a force to be reckoned with."

"What?  Stone-Barnes?"  Cliff asks.

"That's right,"  Brad replies.  "Cliff, I'd like for you to come into my company as a partner."

"A partner?"  Cliff asks, smiling with excitement.  "You want ME to join Stone Oil as your partner?"

"Sure, why not?  After all, you're my father, and not only that, Cliff, but you have a lot of experience running an oil company.  I know I could learn a lot from you, and, together, we could make a pretty formidable team.  We could really take the Ewings down."

"I like the sound of that.  I accept your offer.  And as for the refinery.......I think this is a great investment."

"I think so, too,"  says Brad.  "It'll pay off in the long run.  We won't have to worry about the extra cost of paying someone to refine our crude.  It'll mean more profits for the company, AND extra revenue from other oil companies wanting to use our refinery."

Smiling, Cliff puts his hand on Brad's shoulder.  "I can't tell you how happy this makes me.  I've got two things that I've always wanted........a son, and to be running a company alongside my son.  But you know your mother isn't gonna be very happy about this."

"No, you're right, she won't,"  Brad says.  "But, that's her problem, now isn't it?  This is what I want.  I never had a father before, and now that I have one, I'd like for us to be close.  Like a real father and son."

"I'd like nothing better.  I'd also like for you to get to know your sisters, as well,"  Cliff says.

"I'd like that, too,"  Brad says.

"Come on, I'll buy you lunch in town.  I remember this really great little Chinese place downtown."

"Lunch?  Cliff, it's not even 11 o'clock yet, isn't it a little early for lunch?"

"Not according to my stomach, I'm hungry,"  Cliff says.  "So let's go."

Brad smiles, and he and Cliff head for Brad's car.

Ewing Oil....

Krystina is working at her desk when Janice buzzes her office.  "Yes, Janice?"  Krystina says.

"Krystina, there's a man on line one for you.  He wouldn't give his name."

"Okay, thanks."  Krystina picks up her phone and presses the '1' button.  "Hello?"  She says.  "Yes, this is Krystina Ewing."  She listens to the person on the other end of the line for several seconds before speaking.  "I, umm, why are you calling me after all this time?  No, I don't think it's a good idea that we see each other.  No."  Krystina is silent once again for several seconds as she listens to what her caller is saying.  "Alright, fine.  I'll meet you.  Yes, I

know where that is.  Fine."  Krystina hangs up the phone and sighs deeply, a look of shock on her face upon hearing the voice of the person who just called her.  Krystina is suddenly snapped out of her thoughts when John Ross walks into her office.

"Well, do I have some news for you,"  he says.

"I'm sorry, what?"  Krystina asks, so distracted that she didn't hear what he had said.

"I said I've got some news.  Darlin', you alright?"

"I'm fine.  So what's the news?  Must be good," Krystina says, standing from her seat at the desk.

"Oh, it's definitely good,"  says John Ross.  "I just got off the phone with Ol' Cal Archer, who owns one of the biggest refineries down in Texas City, and his refinery is up for sale."

"But John Ross, Ewing Oil already HAS  refinery.  Why do we need another?"

John Ross smiles.  "Technically, I guess we don't, but, this refinery is of particular interest because I just heard that Brad Stone made an offer to buy it."

"So?  I mean, you wanna spend all that money to buy a refinery just to keep Brad from getting it?"  Krystina asks.

"That's right.  And, since Archer is askin' a low price for the refinery just to get rid of it in a hurry, Ewing Oil can turn around and sell it for a substantial profit.  In a way we'd be killin' two birds with one stone, no pun intended. We'd be keepin' Stone Oil from gettin' the refinery, and then we can make money off it."

"Very smart,"  says Krystina.

"Yeah, I thought so, too.  I got a friend of mine who works for Archer who's supposed to get in touch with me just as soon as he finds out how much Stone offered Ol' Cal for that refinery.  Then, I'm gonna double the offer."

"That sounds kinda risky, John Ross."

"Not risky at all.  Stone Oil is a small comp'ny right now.  Much smaller and much more cash poor than Ewing Oil, so, there's no way Brad Stone can offer more'n we can afford to pay.  And, best part about this is........Stone will never suspect that I'm after that refinery, too, since Ewing Oil already has one."

"Well, I have to hand it to you,"  Krystina says.  "That's a brilliant plan."

"So, I'm gonna take my gorgeous wife out to lunch to celebrate my brilliant plan.  Where you wanna eat?"

"Oh, ummm, John Ross, I can't today.  I forgot, I have a doctor's appointment."

"I thought you just went to the doctor the other day,"  John Ross says.

"Yeah, I did, but this is just a follow up.  Dr. Mixon just wants to keep a check on my hormone levels, that's all."

"Okay, well, I'll go with you."

"No,"  Krystina says quickly.  "You don't have to.  I have a few errands to run afterward, so, why don't you take your sister to lunch?"

"Alright, darlin', if you insist.  But, I do intend to take you out to dinner tonight."

Krystina smiles.  "Dinner sounds great."

"Good.  I'll go see if I can catch Jill before she goes to lunch.  Love ya, darlin'."  John Ross kisses his wife.

"I love you, too."

John Ross winks at her, then leaves the office.  After he's gone, Krystina retakes her seat at her desk, a look of worry on her face.

Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston....

Christopher walks into Phyllis's hospital room as Courtney sits by her mother's side.  "Hey," Courtney says.  "Did you talk to your father?"

"Yeah, I did."

"How's Ann?"

"She's gonna be fine,"  replies Christopher.  "She's probably gonna be released from the hospital later this afternoon."

"Thank God,"  Courtney says.  "I can't even imagine what she must've gone through."

"Yeah, neither can I.  I just can't believe that Katherine Wentworth tried to kill Ann.  My Dad's been saying for more than two years now that Katherine hadn't changed.  That she was as dangerous and disturbed as ever.  And now she's out there somewhere, on the run, just like right after she shot my Dad.  Not only that, but her son is on the loose, too.  The guy who almost killed all of us in that explosion last year."

"Gives me chills thinking about that,"  Courtney says.

"Yeah, me, too."

Phyllis begins to wake up.  "Mom?"  Courtney calls to her, after hearing her mother moan.  "Mom, can you hear me?"

Phyllis opens her eyes and looks at her daughter.  "Courtney?"

"Yes.  I'm here, Mom."

"What are you........doing here?  You're supposed to be in California."

"Sly called and told us about your surgery.  Mom, why didn't you tell us what was going on?  I would've been here."

"I just didn't want you to worry, darling."

"Phyllis, how do you feel?"  Christopher asks.

"Pretty terrible."

"Are you in pain?"  Asks Courtney.

"A little."

"I'll let the nurse know she's awake,"  Christopher says, then he leaves the room.

"Courtney......I'm sorry I didn't tell you.  I just didn't want you to have to worry about me on top of everything else."

Courtney takes her mother by the hand.  "Mom, listen to me.  No matter what else is going on, I always wanna be here for you, the way you've always been there for me."

"I wasn't always there for you,"  Phyllis says, her voice growing weaker.  "I wasn't there for you when you needed me most.  When I sent you away to Florida.  Or when you came home and found out you were pregnant.  I have always regretted that."

"Mom, you were going through a hard time with Dad and the divorce.  Look, none of that matters now.  You have ALWAYS been a wonderful mother, and I love you."

"I love you, too, sweetheart,"  Phyllis says.  She clutches her daughter's hand as a tear falls from her eye.

A park in Dallas....

Krystina's car pulls into the parking lot of Reverchon Park in Dallas that afternoon and comes to a stop.  Getting out of the car, she walks toward the park and looks around until she spots the person she has come here to meet.

Standing at a fence watching a game of tennis is a young man in his late 2os.  Krystina pauses and watches this young man for a few seconds, then approaches him.  "Trevor?"  She says.

The young man turns around and smiles as he takes off his sunglasses.  "Well, well.  Hello, Krystina.  It's been a long time."

"Not nearly long enough.  What do you want?"

"Krystina, Krystina.  That any way to talk after we haven't seen each other in eight years?"

"Just answer my question, Trevor.  Why did you contact me again after all these years?"

"Because I need something,"  replies Trevor.

"Of course.  Why am I not surprised?  Let me guess.....money?"

"Yep."

"I told you that I never wanted to see you again.  What part of that did you NOT understand?"

"I know what you said.  I was hoping after all this time you'd changed your mind.  After all, you're married now, and have a new life here in the beautiful city of Dallas.  I even hear that you're a part of your husband's family's company, Ewing Oil."

"Yeah, obviously, since you called me there,"  says Krystina.  "So what makes you think I would give you ANYTHING?"

Trevor smiles.  "Because I'm sure you wouldn't want your hubby to know about certain.....things in your past."

"You really are a bastard,"  Krystina says.  "I suppose your father put you up to this?"

"No, he didn't.  My father passed away three months ago."

"Well, despite everything, I really am sorry to hear that.  But that doesn't change anything.  I'm not giving you one red cent."  Krystina turns to walk away.

Trevor grabs her by the arm.  "No.  You're not going anywhere until we make a deal."

"I made it clear a long time ago that I was done being blackmailed by the likes of you,"  Krystina says.

"We're done when I say we're done.  I mean it, Krissy.  I need five hundred grand, and if I don't get it, I'll go straight to that hubby of yours and tell him all about his precious wife's sordid past."

Krystina looks at Trevor angrily.  "I really do hate you.  You're a sorry excuse for a human being, just like your father was."

"Hey, don't you DARE talk about my father,"  says an angry Trevor.  "Blake Carrington was certainly no saint, now was he?  So I wouldn't talk if I were you, cuz.  All the secrets I know about the lives of the great and powerful Carrington clan......and you have the nerve to stand there and call ME a sorry excuse for a human being?  Your old man broke my father, and then drove him into exile.  Left him with nothing.  His own brother.  So you OWE me.  Uncle Blake is dead, but his little princess who helped him destroy my father is very much alive and well."

"I OWE you?"  Krystina asks.  "I don't owe you a damned thing, Trevor.  You and your father got EXACTLY what you both deserved after the two of you tried to take everything from MY father!"

"I'm serious, Krissy,"  says Trevor.  "Five hundred thousand by tomorrow afternoon, or I go to your hubby......... what's his name.........John Ross?  Then I go to dear Aunt Krystle and tell her all about what her beloved late husband did to his brother Ben back in 2006.  Five hundred grand by tomorrow."  Trevor smiles.  "I'll give you a call and tell you where to meet me with the money.  Until then, you take care, and, uh, it's really great seeing you again, cousin. You're just as beautiful as ever."  Trevor winks at her, then turns and walks away.

Left alone by the fence, Krystina begins to cry.

Pamela's apartment....the pool....late afternoon

As Afton plays with little Hunter by the pool at Pamela's apartment building and Randall sleeps in his carriage, shielded from the sun by a towel, Pamela walks up and takes a seat on the lounge chair beside her mother.

"Is Justin alright?"  Afton asks.

"Yeah, he's still laying down.  I asked him to come down and join us, but he said he just wanted to take it easy in bed."

"You really do care for him, don't you?"  Afton asks.

"I love him, Mom,"  Pamela says.  "And I wish that you and Daddy would understand and accept that."

"I'm really trying, sweetheart,"  Afton says.  "It's only because I love you that I'm concerned that you're dating John Ross's brother.  But, I will give this relationship a chance before I make my final judgement.  I can't say that your father will do the same."

"Daddy hates the Ewings so much, that, I don't think he would ever give anyone with the last name Ewing a chance."

"You're right about that,"  Afton says.  "And, speak of the devil."

Pamela looks to her right and sees Cliff walking toward them.   "Well, hello to two of Dallas's most beautiful women," Cliff says with a smile.

"Hello, Daddy,"  Pamela says as Cliff kisses her on the cheek.

"How'd your trip to Texas City with Brad go?"  Pamela asks.

"It went just great, and I have some great news,"  Cliff says.

"Oh, well, let's hear,"  says Afton.

"Brad and I went to Texas City to take a look at a refinery Brad wants to buy.  While we were there, he asked me to join him at Stone Oil.  He wants me to come into the company as a partner, and the company will be renamed Stone-Barnes Oil."

Afton and Pamela exchange looks, neither of them seeming to be very happy at Cliff's news, much to Cliff's disappointment.  "Hey, you two don't look happy about my news.  Don't you understand?  I'll be back in the oil business once again.  I'll be back on top."

"And ready to wage war with the Ewings again?"  Afton asks.

"I have a very large score to settle with those vipers.  And now that I'll be a part of Stone Oil, I'll be able to do just that, and with my son by my side, since my daughter seems to have forgotten where her loyalties lie."

Angered by her father's words, Pamela gets up from her seat and takes the handle of the baby's carriage.  "Mom, would you keep an eye on Hunter and bring him upstairs when he's finished playing?  I need to get out of here."

"Of course, sweetheart,"  says Afton.

"Now, Pammy, look......"  Cliff says.

"No, Daddy, YOU look.  I am done with that whole stupid feud you insist on continuing to wage against the whole Ewing family.  I don't give a damn what you do to John Ross.  Frankly, if you destroy him, it'll be no more than what he deserves, but as for you going after Bobby and the rest of the Ewings, I won't support that."

"J.R.'s youngest spawn has got your head all turned around,"  Cliff says.

"My head is clearer than it's been in years,"  says Pamela.  "Come on, Randall."  She immediately walks away, pushing Randall in his carriage.

"Well, now, how do ya like that?"  Cliff asks in disgust.

"I like that just fine,"  replies Afton.  "Cliff, look, I know you have a lot of reasons to hate the Ewings and want revenge against them.  But this feud has almost destroyed you and your whole family more than once.  Now our daughter has fallen in love with ANOTHER Ewing.  And I'm warning you, if this fight of yours comes back to hurt Pamela or my grandchildren, you'll have ME to answer to."

Cliff gives Afton a surprised look.

Pamela's apartment....

Justin is laying on the sofa in the living room of Pamela's apartment when she walks in with Baby Randall.  "Hey,

I thought you were gonna stay down at the pool with your Mom for a while," Justin says.

Pamela sighs.  "I was, but then my father showed up, and I just had to get away from there."

"Uh-oh, what'd Cliff do?"  Justin asks.

"Same old thing.  He started in on the Ewings again, and I just couldn't listen."

"I'm sorry."

"So am I,"  Pamela says.  "I love my father, but I refuse to get caught up in this Barnes/Ewing feud again.  And I refuse to get caught in the middle of it again."

Justin sits up, then stands to his feet and walks over to her.  "Well," he says, putting his arms around Pamela.  "Let's make a pact, then.  That no matter what goes on between our two families, you and I won't get involved, and we won't let ourselves get caught in the middle, or take sides."

"Do you really think that's possible?"

"Yes, I do,"  Justin replies, kissing her.

"I love you, Justin Ewing."

"And I love YOU, Pamela Barnes,"  he says, kissing her again.

Stone Oil......late afternoon

Amanda is working at her desk at Stone Oil when Brad comes out of his office late that afternoon.  "Hey, have you finished typing up that contract I asked you to do yet?"

"Almost,"  Amanda replies.

"Well, stop."

"What?"

"Stop.  You can finish it in the morning,"  Brad says.  "Right now, I would like very much to go out and have a drink to celebrate."

"Celebrate what?"  Amanda asks.

"My new, upcoming partnership with my father,"  Brad replies, much to Amanda's shock.  "I've asked Cliff to come into Stone Oil as a partner.  There's a lot I could learn from him."

"You asked Cliff to come into Stone Oil?"  Amanda asks.

"Yes, I did.  I hope that's not gonna be a problem for you.  I'm sorry, I had forgotten that you had some problems with my father in the past."

"Umm, no, no.  That won't be a problem at all.  Besides, it's your company, and you can bring anyone you want in."

"So, how about it?"  Brad asks.  "How about we close up for the day, it's almost five anyway, and go out and have a couple drinks?"

"Thanks, but, I don't think so,"  Amanda says, getting up from her seat.  She walks to the nearby filing cabinet, opens it, and places a file in.

"Why?"  Brad asks.

"I just don't think it would be a good idea, that's all,"  Amanda replies, her back to him.

Brad hesitates a moment, then walks over to her.  "Amanda, what's going on here?  I simply invited you out to have a drink with me.  Now what's wrong with that?"

"Nothing.  I just don't think that we should socialize.  After all, I AM your secretary."

"So?  Is there anything wrong with also being friends?"

Amanda turns to face him.  "Brad.......Mr. Stone........."

"Hey, what's this 'Mr. Stone' crap?  Come on, Amanda, where's this coming from?  This sudden chilly attitude of yours and not wanting to go out for  a drink?"

"Look, maybe this was a mistake, my working here."

"What?  Why?  Is this because I asked my father into the company?  Because if it is, I can tell him to forget it."

"No.  It's not about Cliff,"  says Amanda.

"Then what?  Amanda, have I done something, or said something to offend you?"

"No, you haven't done anything.  Anything except be really good to me."

"Well, I must have done something for you to feel this way, and I'd like to know what that is."

Amanda looks at him.  "You really wanna know?"

"Yes, I do."

"The truth is......I'm scared."

"Scared?  Of what?  Of me?"

"A little.  But more than that, I'm scared of myself.  Brad, you're a very attractive man.  And, my track record with very attractive men has been extremely.......DISMAL.  I can't seem to have a friendship with a very attractive man without it........."

"Developing into something more?"  Brad asks.

"Yes."

"Would that be so terrible?  Amanda, you are a VERY beautiful and very attractive woman.  And, I'm flattered that you find me to be a very attractive man.  You're divorced now, and I'm about as single as you can get, so, would it be so terrible if we developed a friendship that turned into something more if that's what we both want?"

"You don't know all there is to know about me,"  Amanda says in tears.  "You don't know the pain I've caused the men I've been with."

"Well, I do know that the last couple men you've been with were members of the same family, the Ewings.  And I know that they caused you as much pain as you caused them.  Maybe your luck would change with a man who WASN'T  a Ewing.  Look, just have a drink with me.  If you don't feel comfortable or if you decide you don't want to be friends, or that you're not comfortable working here because you find me so irresistible, then, you can quit, and I won't try to stop you.  But I really think that you could use a friend in your life right now."

"You're actually the ONLY friend I have in this town,"  Amanda says, wiping her tears.

"I don't have a whole lotta friends, either.  So, I could use one, too."

Amanda looks at him and nods.

Brad smiles.  "So.......that drink?"

Again, Amanda nods.  "Alright.  A drink."

"Then let's go."

Amanda walks back to her desk, shuts down her computer, grabs her purse, then she and Brad leave together.

The farmhouse near Texarkana....evening

As dusk was settling over the farmhouse near Texarkana that evening, Austin throws back the covers on his bed and sits up.  Still in pain from his ribs, and his shoulder, he slowly gets out of bed.  At first, he is not very steady on his feet, and has to balance himself first.  In pain, he makes his way over to the door and tries to open it.  The door is locked.  Why would they lock him in?  Austin wonders.  He leans down and looks through the small keyhole.  Suddenly, he sees someone coming.  As quickly as he can, he hurries back to his bed, just making it to the bed and taking a seat as the door opens and Kasey walks in with his dinner tray.

"Been sittin' up long?"  Kasey asks.

"No.  Just a few minutes."

"You hurtin'?"

"Yeah.  My ribs."

"I brought you your pain medicine,"  Kasey says.

"Kasey, I think I really need to go to a doctor.  I could have two or three broken ribs.  It hurts like hell."

"Just lie down and be still.  You'll be alright.  Josh broke two of his ribs once and didn't go to no doctor.  They healed up just fine."

"Kasey, listen to me," says Austin.  "The man who was on the plane with me, he's my brother."

"Oh, I'm sorry.  I didn't know that was your brother that got killed."

"No, I'm not talking about him.  The OTHER man.  The one who disappeared.  Kasey, he's very dangerous.  He's a wanted murderer.  He's already killed three people and caused a woman to lose her baby.  He's out there somewhere, maybe hiding somewhere on this farm, and he needs to be caught.  Kasey, you've gotta help me.  I have to get out of here so I can tell the police about him."

"What in the hell is goin' on in here?"  Josh asks, walking into the room with a younger boy of about 12.

"Austin was just tellin' me about his brother,"  Kasey replies.

"Yeah, I heard him.  Kasey, you and Corey go to the supper table. I wanna have a word with our......guest."

"Please don't be too hard on him, Joshua......"

"Girl you go do what I say.  Get out,"  says an angry Josh.

"Come on, Corey,"  Kasey says to the little boy, ushering him out of the room.  The little boy looks at Austin, who returns his gaze.

After his brother and sister have left, Josh walks over to Austin.  "I'm only gone say this one time, and you'd

damned well better listen and get this through your head. I hate like hell that your plane crashed on my land.  I don't want you here any more'n you wanna be here, but since you ARE here, we're kinda stuck with each other for now.  My little sister is real vulnerable.  So I don't want you takin' advantage of her kindness, you got me?"  Josh pushes Austin down onto the bed, causing him to yell out in pain.  "I'm tryin' to be nice to you, but if I hear you tryin' to get her to let you go again......and I'm liable to be real mad."

"You don't understand,"  Austin says, in tears from the pain. "My brother was on that plane.  He's a wanted killer, and he's out there somewhere.  He could be hiding somewhere on this farm.  If you don't tell the cops about him, there's no telling what he might do."

"Yeah, sure.  And I'm s'pose to believe that crap?"  Josh asks.

"What the hell is wrong with you kids?  And where are your parents?  Why are you keeping me here like this?"

"Where you from, Austin?"

"Dallas.  Why?"

"Well, I don't know and I don't care how y'all do things in the big city of Dallas, but down here in the country, we do things a bit different.  We take care of our own, and we don't like no outsiders askin' questions.  You already shown me you can't be trusted, so you better just start behavin' yourself."

"Or what?"  Austin asks.

"Or I'm gone get REAL mad, and you might just find things around here to be not so pleasant for you anymore.  Better eat your supper before it gets cold."   Josh walks to the door and starts to leave.

"Josh?  How long do you plan on keeping me here?  And

Josh looks at him.  "Supper's gettin' cold," he says, then walks out of the room, closing and locking the door behind him.

Austin sighs.  "That kid's completely insane."

Southfork.....night

Bobby and Ann walk into their bedroom that night and Ann begins turning down the covers of their bed.  Bobby looks at his wife, who, even though she was released from the hospital late that afternoon, looks as if she has the weight of the world on her shoulders.

"You sure are quiet,"  he says to her.  "You barely said a word all through dinner, even though everyone was happy you were home."

"I'm sorry.  I guess I guess I'm still a little shaken over what happened.  And I'm upset about my car."

"Well, don't worry about that.  I'll have you another car delivered tomorrow."  Bobby walks over to his wife.  "Honey, do you wanna talk about what happened?  About what Katherine did to you?"

"No, Bobby, I don't," Ann replies.  "I really just wanna forget about it."

"You think that's possible?"  Bobby asks.

"Yes.  I don't wanna give that woman another minute's thought."

Bobby looks at her for a moment. "I didn't think it was possible for me to hate Katherine Wentworth any more than I already did.  But after the way she hurt you, after she almost took you away from me........if Katherine were standing here right now, I swear, I'd kill her with my bare hands.  I want her caught, Annie.  Caught and severely punished for what she did to you.  And this incident should make it easier to reopen the Naldo Marchetta murder case again.  It proves that Katherine really is still capable of murder even now.  I'm gonna make her pay, honey, and that's a promise."  Bobby puts his arms around Ann and embraces her, a worried look on Ann's face as she rests her head on his shoulder and fights back tears, terrified that when Katherine is caught, the secret of Logan's paternity will come to light and destroy her marriage to Bobby once and for all.

Pamela's apartment....

Justin and Pamela are laying in bed that night in her apartment, Pamela resting her head on his shoulder, her hand resting on his bare chest.  She smiles.  "This feels so right," she says.  "Laying here in bed with you like this."

"Yeah, it does,"  Justin says, his voice not sounding very enthusiastic.

"Justin, what's wrong?  You've acted as though something's been bothering you all day."

Justin sits up in bed.  "I'm sorry, darlin'.  I just have a lot on my mind.  It's not about you."

"Good,"  Pamela says with a smile. "I was beginning to worry that we'd made love too soon after you got out of the hospital.  That maybe I'd worn you out."

"No, not at all."

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Pamela asks.  "What's on your mind?"

"I was thinkin' about somethin' Jill said to me at the hospital this mornin' when her and Alex came by,"  Justin replies.

"What'd she say?  That being with me is a mistake, and you should get out while you still can?"

"No.  We didn't talk about you at all.  It was about Jimmy.  He's been missin' for several days now."

"He skipped bail,"  Pamela says.

"That's just not like him.  I just.........Jill made me start thinkin'.  She made me wonder if I'm doin' the right thing."

"You mean pressing charges?  Justin, he pushed you off a cliff.  Your best friend slept with your wife, and then he tried to kill you."

Justin shakes his head.  "No, Pamela," he says.  "That's not what happened.  Jimmy didn't push me."

"Justin, what are you saying?"  Pamela asks.

"I'm sayin' I lied, Pamela.  What Jimmy said happened on that cliff......that we got into a fight.  I came after him, and I fell.  He tried to pull me up, but I slipped.  That's what really happened."

"Then why did......"

"Why did I lie and say he pushed me?"  Justin asks.  "Because I was angry.  No, I take that back.  I wasn't angry.  I was mad as hell.  I was enraged and I was  filled with hate toward both Jimmy and Amanda.  The night before the accident I had come home and I saw my wife havin' sex with my best friend on MY livin' room floor. Remember how you felt when you walked into that hotel room that night and found John Ross havin' sex with Emma?  That's EXACTLY how I felt.  I wanted to make them both pay.  So, next day I took Jimmy up to the Smithfield cabin, pretendin' that we were gonna do some fishin'.  I took my gun with me.  God help me, Pamela, I wanted to kill him that day.  And I might would have.  But we got into a fight over the gun, and, I slipped and fell. Jimmy grabbed me, and tried to pull me back up, but he couldn't hold on.  Then later, when I woke up in the hospital, I was paralyzed, and I couldn't remember anything about what happened.  Not the accident, not Jimmy and Amanda's affair.  Nothin'.  For months, I couldn't remember, but then, my memory started to come back in bits and pieces.  And I'd see Jimmy and Amanda together, and hear them talkin'.  And I remembered everything.  Right then and there I decided to pay them back for what they'd done to me.  I guess you could say I took a page from my Daddy's book.  So, I told the police that Jimmy tried to kill me.  That he and Amanda were havin' an affair and they conspired to get me outta the way so they could be together.  I wanted Jimmy to go to prison.  Both of them to go to prison.  Pamela, I'm sorry.  I can't imagine what you must be thinkin' of me right now.  And if you decide you don't wanna be with somebody who could do somethin' like that, I'd understand."

Pamela sits up in bed beside him.  "Just, listen to me.  Nothing you just said could make me love you any less. I'm the last person to EVER judge you or anyone.  I've done things as bad or worse.  You were angry and you were hurting. So what are you gonna do now?"

Justin sighs deeply.  "I have to find Jimmy.  Maybe if I just beat the hell out of him, I could finally feel better.  But I don't think I can ever get on with my life until I find him and face him."

Meanwhile....

Jimmy lays on his bed in the cage in the Wentworth basement, staring blankly ahead, seeing nothing, and now feeling nothing but utter hopelessness coupled with intense hunger, having not had a meal in more than two days now.  Due to his lack of nourishment, Jimmy has become weak and dehydrated.  For a while, he had yelled for help, but to no avail.  No help came.  Now, he no longer has the strength to yell, or even move.  Tears begin falling from his face, as he realizes that this is it for him.  Jimmy is convinced that he will die in this dungeon and will never be found.  He wonders if anyone has even been searching for him, or if everyone has forgotten him, believing that he indeed had tried to kill Justin on that cliff a year ago....

Southfork....the next morning

Bobby, Ann, and Lucy are seated at the breakfast table on the patio the next morning when Lucas, Heather, and Michael come out of the house and take their seats.

"Good morning,"  Heather says.

"Good morning to you,"  says Bobby.

"Ann, how ya feeling this morning?"  Lucas asks.

"Still really sore, but much better sleepin' in my own bed last night."

"And it was great for ME havin' you in bed next to me."

Alex comes out of the house at that moment and takes a seat.  "Morning, Alex,"  Lucas greets his nephew.

"Morning.  John Ross and Krystina haven't come down yet?"

"No, not yet,"  Lucy replies.

"Is it okay if Shawn comes out to the ranch today?"  Alex asks.

"Sure, it's fine with me,"  Ann says.

"Good, I'll give him a call after breakfast."

"You guys enjoyed the cattle drive, huh?"  Bobby asks.

"Shawn enjoyed it more than I did,"  Alex replies.

"Not much of a cowhand, are ya, Alex?"  Lucy asks.

"Nope, not at all."

"I really enjoyed the cattle drive,"  says Michael.  "I can't wait til we do another one."

"Well, you're more than welcome to go in my place any time,"  Alex says.

"Alex, you're crazy,"  Michael tells his cousin.

"Sounds like my grandson is gonna be the next generation rancher in this fam'ly,"  Bobby says.

"That's my boy,"  Lucas says with a smile.

Upstairs....John Ross and Krystina's bedroom

After taking a shower, a towel-clad John Ross walks into his and Krystina's bedroom from the adjoining bathroom as Krystina finishes dressing.

"Darlin', you alright?  You tossed and turned all night," he says.

"I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to keep you awake."

"That's not a problem,"  John Ross says.  "It's you I'm worried about, Krystina.  You didn't sleep at all last night, did you?''  He walks over to her.  "Darlin', somethin's botherin' you, I can tell.  I'd like to know what it is."

Krystina sighs.  "John Ross, I'm fine.  Really.  And nothing is bothering me."

"That's bull."

"What?"  Krystina asks.

"Sorry to be so blunt, but honey, you're not yourself.  You been this way since I told you about that refinery yesterday.  Your sullen mood have somethin' to do with that?"

"No, of course not.  John Ross, I'm sorry.  It's just....... hormones.  You know how pregnant women get.  Happy one minute, crying our eyes out the next."

"You sure that's all?"  John Ross asks.

"I'm sure.  I'll be fine.  We're just gonna have to deal with these crazy little mood swings for a while."

"Well, you, my love, are worth puttin' up with anything for."

Krystina manages a smile.  "You'd better get dressed so we can go down to breakfast."

"Yeah, and I have an early meetin' this mornin' downtown."  John Ross kisses her, then walks over to the bed to start getting dressed.  Krystina turns and looks at herself in the mirror.  She fights back tears, then walks into the bathroom, closing the door behind her, leaving John Ross worried about his wife again.

A short time later, downstairs.....

While the family continues breakfast on the patio, a car pulls into Southfork and comes to a stop in the parking area beside Lucas's car.  "Hey, I wonder who that is,"  Lucas says.

"I don't know,"  says Bobby.  "Guess we'll find out soon."  The car comes to a stop, and James Beaumont gets out.  "Oh, it's James,"  Bobby says.

James walks up to the others.  "Well, James, hi,"  Lucy says.

"Hi, Lucy, everyone,"  James greets.

"James, it's great to see ya,"  Bobby says.  "Have some breakfast?"

"No, thanks, Bobby, I already ate."

John Ross and Krystina come out of the house.  "James, what the hell are you doin' here?"  John Ross asks, surprised to see his older brother.

"Nice to see you, too, John Ross,"  James says, sarcastically.  "I flew to Dallas last night to try and find my son."

"Jimmy still hasn't shown up or been heard from?"  Bobby asks.

"No, he hasn't, and Debra Lynn and I are worried sick.  I've been trying to call him for days.  Jay Smithfield has been trying to find him, and now the cops have a warrant out for Jimmy's arrest because they think he's skipped bail."

"What about that girl Jimmy was seeing?"  Alex asks.

"You mean Katelyn Spencer?"  James asks.  "Nobody seems to be able to reach her, either."

"Katelyn Spencer?"  Ann asks.

"Yes,"  replies James.  "Jimmy told me about her.  They went out a few times."

"Is it possible they could be together?"  Bobby asks.  "Jimmy and this Katelyn girl?"

"I thought about that.  Jay said he's checked around, and nobody's seen Katelyn since shortly after Jimmy disappeared."

"Wait a minute,"  Ann says.  "James, you said that this girl, Katelyn, disappeared right after Jimmy?"

"That's right."

"Do you know what she looks like?"

"I saw a photo of her and Jimmy.  Real pretty girl.  Long, dark hair."

Bobby looks at Ann, who has a strange look on her face.  "Honey, what's wrong?"

"I know this is just a long shot,"  Ann says.  "But, Bobby, Katherine's daughter.  Her name is Katelyn."

"Couldn't possibly be the same Katelyn,"  Lucas says.

"I can vaguely remember........Katherine's daughter was with her when Katherine drove me out to the country to get rid of me."

"Honey, did you get a look at the girl?"  Bobby asks.

"Not a good look.  I was barely conscious.  But I do remember she had long, brown hair.  Like Katherine."

"Wait, what's this all about?"  James asks.

"Katherine Wentworth,"  replies Bobby.  "The police checked the Wentworth house the other day after Ann told them what Katherine had done.  Nobody was there.  I'm gonna call Detective Steven Jones, Bum's son, and ask him to do a search of that house.  On the off chance that this Katelyn Spencer is the same Katelyn who is Katherine's daughter, then there's no telling what may have happened to Jimmy."  Bobby takes his cell phone from his pocket and dials a number.  On the third ring, a man answers.  "Steven, this is Bobby Ewing.  I'm fine, thank you.  Steven, I have a favor to ask.  We have some new information that's come to light, that could involve Katherine Wentworth and her daughter."

Memorial Hermann Medical Center, Houston....

Phyllis is sitting up in bed, eating breakfast that morning when Christopher and Courtney walk into her hospital room.  "Morning, Mom,"  Courtney says.

"Good morning, you two."

"How do you feel, Phyllis?"   Christopher asks.

"Much better.  Especially now that they're letting me eat solid foods again."

"Your color is much better,"  says Courtney.  "Mom, when you get out of the hospital, I want you to come back to Dallas."

"I'm gonna talk to my Dad,"  Christopher says.  "I'm sure he and Ann would love to have you stay at the cottage at Southfork."

"I couldn't do that."

"Mom, you can't go back to your apartment and stay alone, at least not for a while.  You're gonna need some help."

"And, we can hire a private nurse to stay with you for a while until you're fully recovered,"  Christopher says.

"That's really not necessary,"  Phyllis says.  "I'm not an invalid."

"No one said that you are,"  replies Courtney.  "But you WILL have to take it easy for a while, and I'd feel better if I knew you were close by where someone can look in on you, especially since Christopher and I are gonna have to go back to California to take care of this custody case."

Phyllis looks at her daughter.  "Alright, then.  I'll go.  IF it's okay with Bobby and Ann."

"I know it will be,"  Christopher says as his cell phone rings.  He takes the phone from his pocket and looks at it.  "Oh, excuse me, it's Drew Demarest.  I have to take this."  Christopher leaves the room to take his call.

"I'm so sorry you and Christopher had to cut short your trip to California and put everything on hold,"  Phyllis says to her daughter.

"Mom, don't worry about it.  I wish I had known what you were going through before.  I would've been here."

"I know.  So, tell me, how did it go in California when you told Jacob's father about him?"

Courtney lowers her head and sighs.  "Not so well.  Chase was very upset.  Angry that I kept it from him all these years."

"I'm sorry."

As Courtney is about to say something, Christopher returns to the room, a worried look on his face.  "Christopher, what is it?"

"Courtney, that was Drew,"  replies Christopher.  "We have to get back to California, as soon as possible."

"Is it about the case?"  Courtney asks.

"Yeah, it is."

Courtney looks at her husband with worry.

The Wentworth mansion....

Back in Dallas, two Dallas Police cars and two unmarked cars pull up in front of the Wentworth mansion and come to a stop.  Bobby's car pulls up behind them and also comes to a stop.  As the police get out and descend on the home in preparation for doing a search of the premises, Detectives Steven Jones and Craig Anderson approach Bobby's car as Bobby, James, John Ross, and Lucas get out.

"Mr. Beaumont, Mr. Ewing,"  Steven says.  "You're all gonna have to wait out here until we're finish conducting our search."

"We'll let you know if we find anything,"  Craig says.

"Thank you, Detectives,"  Bobby says.

Steven nods, then turns and heads to the house to help the search team.

"If Ann is right and this girl did somethin' to my son,"  James says.  "I won't stop until I track her down."

"I never would've believed Katherine Wentworth would be back in our lives.  Or that she had two more evil spawns to cause all this trouble,"  John Ross says.

Meanwhile, Steven walks into the house, where members of the team have already begun searching.  "Detective," one of the searchers calls.  Steven and Craig walk over.  "What've you got?"  Steven asks.

"Spot on the carpet here.  Looks like blood."

"Okay, let's get the forensics team to take a sample and test to see if it's blood, and if it's animal or human,"  Craig Anderson says.

"Guys, I want every inch of this place searched,"  Steven says.

"Detectives,"  another member of the team calls.  "This door is locked."

Steven and Craig walk over to where two other officers are standing by the basement door.  "Let's break it open and get in there,"  Craig says.

Two officers draw their weapons, while a third violently kicks open the basement door.  The officers enter, then slowly descend the stairs into the darkened basement.  Entering the basement, they immediately see the cage.  Craig and Steven come down the stairs and are shocked at what they see......the cage, and an unconscious Jimmy laying on the floor beside the bed!

"Oh my God,"  Steven says.  They rush over to the cage and find it locked.  "Come on, let's get this cage opened!"

Four officers come over and take out a set of tools.  "Should we tell Beaumont we found his son?"  Craig asks.

"Not yet,"  Steven replies.  "First, let's see if he's alive, or.......God forbid, if we have to tell Beaumont his son is dead."

The two detectives watch as the officers remove the door of the cage.  Then Steven and Craig rush in to Jimmy.

"Hey, Jimmy,"  Craig says.  "Jimmy Beaumont?"

Steven feels Jimmy's neck for a pulse.  "He's alive.  Let's get an ambulance over here, ASAP!"

Meanwhile, Bobby, James, John Ross, and Lucas continue to wait outside, James pacing frantically.  Craig comes onto the front porch.  "Mr. Beaumont!"  He calls to James, then motions to him.  The four men hurry to the house.  A few seconds later, they enter the basement, led by Craig.

As soon as James sees his son laying on the floor in the cage, he rushes to Jimmy's side.  "Jimmy!"  He yells.  "Dear God, Jimmy!"  He kneels and takes his son's head into his lap.

"He's alive, Mr. Beaumont,"  Steven says.  "But just barely.  An ambulance is on the way."

Bobby, John Ross, and Lucas look on as James cradles his unconscious son in his arms.

"I swear,"  Bobby says.  "If it's the last thing on Earth I ever do, I'm gonna make sure Katherine Wentworth and those psychotic offspring of hers are caught and severely punished for everything they've done to this family."

"You can count me in on that one, too, Uncle Bobby,"  John Ross says.

Another great chapter. Good reading. Its going to be interesting to see what Krystal did that was so bad. I wonder if they are going to find Katherine dead or alive? If dead, does Bobby kill her? Keep up the great writing.

Sara Duckworth LOVED IT!!!!! Katherine better see if she can find herself and Kathryn on a deserted island if they want to stay out of prison and stay alive. I'm glad the Ewings and police arrive in time at the Wentworth mansion to save Jimmy, and I'm glad Justin decided to change his story so Jimmy won't go to prison. He and Amanda didn't deserve to be arrested or left out on the street. I just think Amanda has some serious issues controlling her emotions concerning her desire for sex. She needs counseling. I hope Bobby and Ann's marriage won't fall apart. Despite Ann keeping secrets, in all fairness she was just trying to protect Emma and save Heather and Lucas from being hurt. Bobby does love her, but he needs to learn to control his reactions if he expects Ann to confide in him. He has a right to be hurt and feel betrayed, but losing his temper is something neither of them need especially with everything happening around them. I wish Ann could be open and honest with him. Afton, good luck with Cliff staying out of their daughter's relationship with Justin. You should know Barnes never learns his lesson. And I'm really anxious to find out what Krystina is hiding.

Oh John, this was another one of your best episodes. I truly loved every bit of it. So much drama and emotions throughout the entire episode. Also left us with many unanswered questions. Wonder what Krystina is hiding about her past or her father's past. Hope that John Ross can bring Cliff and Stone down and wonder if Emma's secret will be revealed. Oh, have so many questions and can hardly wait for next week's episode. Thank you ever o much for all your hard work. God Bless You Always.

Katherine Wentworth done messed up now! Her, and those pychotic offspring are really going to pay for what they have done to the Ewing family. Then her son tries to kill them in the Channing Mansion, not to mention, Anns brother, and everybody else that was at the wedding at the time. Elena lost her unborn child, and Emma almost lost her baby as well. Pilar Cusmon was killed too.

So glad that Jimmy was found, if he hadn't been found, he may have actually died. Man, Katelyn just absouletely mentally, physically, emotionally, verbally, and sexually abused him. She drugged him, she nailed him with a taser, I mean, Wow! But it's all over for Jimmy now. I don't believe he will ever trust another woman ever again after dealing with Katelyn.

That Trevor guy sounds like he is a lot of trouble. I mean, I wise Krystina had told John Ross what's going on so he could help her, or something. She may have no choice now because of the situation she is currently in. Hate that she is being blackmailed by her own cousin.

If Trevor is Ben Carrington's son, then who is his mother? As far as I knew, Ben and Melissa Saunders had only one child - Patrick's wife, Leslie. As for Blake and Ben, they had reconciled their differences in 1987. Maybe Trevor was unaware of this or maybe it's just a great big frame up. U need Patrick as the good "Carrington" to counteract Trevor the baddie. I think Krystina is going to need her half brother's help on this. Do I smell another Ewing Barbecue confrontation? :) Let's say Patrick knows who he is and can't stand him.

Christopher Cazenove, the actor who played Ben died on April 7, 2010. John Forsythe (Blake) died six days earlier.

Don't have Patrick be a secret Krystal was keeping from Blake. Krystal submitted to a NDA Test shortly after the events of "Dynasty: The Reunion" WITH Blake's permission. Patrick and Leslie met at a bar in 1991 and soon found out she was Blake's niece. They attended the Carrington family Christmas celebration together and it was there that Patrick proposed.

I really, really, really feel as though you are doing some of the best writing right now. The story you have thrown together for Season 7 in two episodes is amazing! I love that you’ve continued Ann’s bravery. In the televised series, she was a true brave character who embraced that part of her Ewing side since she married Bobby. However, will she be able to keep that strength with her and Emma’s secret? Cliff in a new partnership? Cliff always backstabs anyone he’s in a partnership with. I wonder if he’ll follow in his usual Cliff footsteps. I hope you continue to make more DYNASTY connections as the season goes on. You’ve woven in other shows so brilliantly. AND OMG THAT CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!! CAN I BREATHE AGAIN!!!!!!???? NEVER CROSS A EWING!!!!!!!!!!

Ann might have been right in that no one would have believed Katherine if she said Logan was Lucas's son but people might wonder why she said it because a paternity test would easily prove she was lying.
